2017 International Science of Learning ConferenceIn 2017 the Empowering Local Learners Project was asked by the Science of Learning Research Centre (SLRC) to speak at the International Science of Learning Conference, which brought together educational researchers and neuroscientists along with teachers with the theme of "from research to reality". The ELL Project is seen widely by the SLRC as an example of a project that is very successfully implementing a focus of research informed instruction in the classroom.

There are a range of activities to help people understand these executive functions in more depth.

The session aimed to give a basic introduction to the proficiency strands, how they relate to the content strand, why they are important and how we can begin to address them within our teaching. There are a range of activities to help people understand these ideas in more depth.
